TPCI Leads Delegation of International Buyers to Buyer Seller Meet in Kashmir

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) successfully led a delegation of 36 international buyers from 17 countries to the two-day International Buyer Seller Meet (IBSM), which commenced in Kashmir on 29th September 2026. Organised jointly by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) in collaboration with TPCI, the event aimed to bolster export partnerships and connect local producers with global markets.

 

 

The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Omar Abdullah, alongside the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Surinder Kumar Choudhary, and the Managing Director of JKTPO, Shri Sudershan Kumar. The inauguration was also attended by key dignitaries from the Department of Industries, J&K, as well as the Vice Chancellor of SKAUST.

Showcasing the rich commercial potential of the region, the meet featured over 60 exhibitors highlighting a wide range of products. These included processed food and beverages, fresh fruits, nuts, pulses, and rice, along with traditional handicrafts, handlooms, leather products, textiles, and allied industry goods. The two-day forum provided an invaluable platform for local businesses to forge direct trade connections with foreign delegates and expand their international reach.
