India Shines as Partner Country at WorldFood Moscow 2026

Demonstrating its rising global prominence in the food and beverage (F&B) sector, India took center stage as the Partner Country at the prestigious WorldFood Moscow 2026. The landmark event witnessed robust participation from over 80 Indian exporters, with more than 40 leading F&B companies exhibiting their diverse product portfolios under the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) banner.

The grand India Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by Shri Avinash Joshi, Secretary of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), and Shri Devesh Deval, Joint Secretary of MoFPI.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Nikhilesh Giri, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Moscow, Russia; Mr. Vijay Gauba, Additional Director General, TPCI; alongside senior officials from APEDA, the Coffee Board, the Spices Board, the Embassy of India, and MoFPI.

A Strategic Gateway to Eurasia

As the Partner Country for this edition, India’s presence underscored its immense potential as a reliable global sourcing hub for agricultural and processed food products. The TPCI-led delegation featured an extensive array of offerings—ranging from ready-to-eat items, organic foods, and specialty spices to basmati rice, coffee, tea, and innovative processed food formulations tailored to international markets.

The inauguration drew significant attention from international buyers, retail chains, wholesalers, and HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, and catering) professionals from Russia and the broader CIS region. Dignitaries toured the vibrant India Pavilion, interacting directly with domestic exporters and commending the quality and packaging standards of Indian food products.

Strengthening Bilateral Trade Ties

Speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration, leadership emphasized the deep-rooted trade synergies between India and Russia. The platform enabled Indian enterprises to forge strategic partnerships, engage in high-value B2B matchmaking, and explore untapped avenues for bilateral food-tech and agricultural collaboration.

WorldFood Moscow continues to serve as one of Eurasia’s premier trading platforms. TPCI’s strong coordination and active industry participation have significantly reinforced India’s brand image, opening new doors for long-term export expansion and commercial alliances across the Eurasian market.
