TPCI to organise 1st Edition of India Bio Energy Conference (IBEC) 2026 in New Delhi
– IBEC 2026 to Deliberate on India’s Roadmap Towards Energy Security and Sustainability
11th June 2026; New Delhi: The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), through its National Committee on Bio Energy, is set to organise the India Bio Energy Conference (IBEC) 2026 on June 12, 2026, at The Leela Palace, New Delhi. The conference will bring together policymakers, global diplomats, industry leaders, energy experts, innovators, and stakeholders from across the bio-energy ecosystem to deliberate on strategies for accelerating India’s transition towards sustainable and energy-secure growth.
The day-long conference will feature high-level discussions on key themes including compressed biogas (CBG), ethanol blending, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), climate finance, biomass integration, and geopolitical energy challenges shaping India’s energy future.
The inaugural session will witness participation from senior government officials and industry leaders, including Shri Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI; Dr. Mehraj AS, Deputy Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India; and Shri Rajnath Ram, Advisor (Energy), NITI Aayog.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Shri Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI, said; “India stands at a defining moment in its energy transition journey. Bio-energy will play a critical role in ensuring energy security, reducing import dependency, supporting rural economies, and achieving sustainability goals. IBEC 2026 aims to create a collaborative platform where government, industry, academia, and global partners can collectively shape actionable solutions for India’s clean energy future.”
The conference will host several thematic sessions focusing on India’s bio-energy ambitions for 2030, scaling CBG integration into PNG networks, strengthening global energy partnerships, and advancing India’s ethanol blending programme. Dedicated deliberations on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and inter-ministerial stakeholder consultations will further highlight India’s commitment to building a robust and future-ready energy ecosystem.
Distinguished speakers and participants from organisations such as Indian Oil, BPCL, Air India, Honeywell UOP, Praj Industries, Thermax Bio Energy Solutions, Novonesis, SAF Association, TERI, ARAI, NITI Aayog, and diplomatic missions of Brazil, Denmark, Argentina, and the Netherlands are expected to participate in the conference.
The conference is expected to provide valuable insights into emerging technologies, policy frameworks, investment opportunities, and collaborative models necessary for scaling India’s bio-energy sector and achieving long-term energy resilience.
