PM Gati Sakti – National Master Plan to thrust manufacturing, logistic- infra, exports and job creation: TPCI
13th October 2021, New Delhi: Commenting on the launch of PM Gati Sakti – national master plan for multimodal connectivity, Vijay Kumar Gauba, Additional Director General, TPCI said, “It is the culmination of the vision of a new India, which is at the cusp of global journey to world class business ecosystem.” The seamless connectivity between rail, road, ports and civil aviation along with integration of states, local bodies, corporates, etc. through a geo-spatial digital platform will thrust manufacturing and exports besides job creation, he added.
Further, Gauba added, “Industry believes that in time to come this move will cut the logistics cost by at least 10%, which will give exporters room to be competitive in the global market. The connecting of industrial corridors with play and plug facilities and connecting it with multi-mode logistic infrastructure will be a game changer for the manufacturing and exports sector in particular, which will cut the turnaround time and save cost.”
