Huge demand for Indian food products globally: TPCI

According to The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), there has been a more than 100% spike in the demand for essential commodities such as rice, wheat and pulses in global markets. Others food categories like confectioneries, sweets, organic processed food and spices have also witnessed a 15-20% rise this month, the council said. The major destinations where Indian food sector has witnessed demand are the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and Egypt, as per an Economic Times report.
