TPCI organises India-Vietnam Food & Beverage Buyer-Seller Meet in Ho Chi Minh City
The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) organised a Trade Promotion and Buyer-Seller Networking Event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on August 5, 2026. Focused on driving bilateral commercial opportunities across the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector, the high-level meet served as a direct commercial bridge between Indian exporters and key Vietnamese buyers.
The event was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony brought together prominent trade officials and industry leaders from both countries, including Ms. Bui Thi Ninh (Deputy Director General, VCCI Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. J.P. Shriram (Chairman, INCHAM), Mrs. Hoang Thi Lien (Chairperson, VSPA), alongside delegation leaders from the Department of Industries (Government of Bihar), the Vietnam Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises, and World Trade Center (WTC) Vietnam.
The networking meet saw significant industry participation, hosting over 50 Indian food and beverage manufacturers and exporters. The delegation showcased products spanning processed foods, agricultural commodities, and specialty goods to a gathering of more than 215 Vietnamese importers, distributors, HORECA professionals, restaurant operators, and retail chain executives.
To institutionalise long-term bilateral trade and investment collaboration, TPCI formalized key institutional arrangements during the event. TPCI signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the India Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM) to facilitate ongoing business delegations, market intelligence sharing, and trade promotion between India and Vietnam.
