TPCI and SAF Association Join Hands to Advance Sustainable Aviation Fuel Ecosystem in India

New Delhi, June 12, 2026: The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and the SAF Association exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the India Bio Energy Conference (IBEC) 2026, held at The Leela, New Delhi, marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s sustainable aviation ecosystem.

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and the SAF Association formalised a strategic partnership through the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the India Bio Energy Conference (IBEC) 2026 held at The Leela, New Delhi, on June 12, 2026.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the development and adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in India by fostering greater cooperation between industry stakeholders, policymakers, technology providers, research institutions, and investors. As the aviation sector seeks viable pathways to reduce carbon emissions, SAF is emerging as a critical solution to support the transition towards cleaner and more sustainable air transport.

Under the partnership, TPCI and the SAF Association will work together to facilitate policy dialogue, promote industry engagement, encourage innovation, support knowledge-sharing initiatives, and create opportunities for investment and market development in the SAF sector. The collaboration will also focus on strengthening India’s capabilities across the SAF value chain, from feedstock development and production technologies to commercial deployment and global market integration.

The MoU exchange reflects a shared commitment to advancing India’s energy transition agenda and supporting the country’s net-zero ambitions. By bringing together key stakeholders from across the ecosystem, the partnership seeks to contribute to energy security, sustainable economic growth, and the long-term competitiveness of India’s aviation sector.
