Trade Promotion Council of India successfully organised India-UAE Food & Beverage Buyer Seller Meet at Dubai on 22nd October 2021. The event was inaugurated by Shri Ram Kumar Thangraj, Honourable Consul (Education, Passport & Attestation), Consulate General of India, Dubai.
Trade Promotion Council of India successfully organised the India-UAE Buyers Sellers Meet on Food and Beverages on November 22, 2021 in Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai. The show marked the presence of 18 exporters from India and 70 buyers from the UAE.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Ram Kumar Thangraj, Honourable Consul (Education, Passport & Attestation), Consulate General of India Dubai; Dinesh Kumar, MD, Patag Group, UAE (official sponsor of the event), Joydeep Kalra, Director, GD Foods Manufacturing, India and the head of the Indian Delegation, and Bhanu Vashishtha, Joint Director, Trade Promotion Council of India.
The Honourable Consul addressed the august audience and congratulated TPCI on its continuing initiatives for facilitating new business opportunities amongst global F&B industry leaders. He also stressed on the progressively growing healthy relations between the two ally nations and motivated the audience comprising stakeholders from India and UAE to promote Indian F&B products through their channels.
Dinesh Kumar delivered his official welcome note to the dignitaries. Congratulating TPCI on organizing the BSM, he said, “TPCI has been really instrumental in facilitating new connections and opportunities amongst industry members in the most easiest of formats through various relevant and well managed events like these”. He also highlighted the upcoming Indusfood 2022 being organised by TPCI, which will benefit not just the Indian suppliers but also international manufacturers and suppliers of F&B products. “Indusfood 2022 will surely be a platform to explore and convert tremendous business globally for us,” he added.
Joydeep Kalra, Director, GD Foods Manufacturing, on behalf of Mr. Nitin Seth, MD, GD Foods Manufacturing, India (who also led the Indian delegation to UAE), delivered the official vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and announced the BSM open.
Kirti Meghnani, Head Procurement, Choithrams, commented, “It was a compact show but powerful in terms of the suppliers and the category mix. Suppliers were happy with the potential customer mix. Lots of innovative products were on display, especially the rice made out of wheat!”
Top buyers from UAE viz, Spinneys Hypermarket, LuLu Hypermarket, Nesto Hypermarkets, Choithram’s, Baqer Mohebi Enterprises, Grand Hyper, Al Adil Stores, Al Madina Hypermarket, Sunrise Supermarket, Al Maya Distribution and Supermarkets, MH Enterprises, Multiplex International, Farm Fresh, Al Tayeb Distribution, and other importers, wholesalers, distributors & traders explored new products offered by the industry at the BSM. Apart from numerous business dialogues, the BSM also marked generation of some positive on-spot business interests.
