TPCI with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry is organizing an India Pavilion in the “FDT Food and Drink Technology Africa”. It is an international trade fair for the food and beverage industry, which takes place every two years in Johannesburg. This is where the FDT Africa steps in, because it offers to the companies the desired access to the African market. Exhibitors show the latest innovations and technologies for safe, hygienic and efficient production and packaging of food and beverages and current developments and trends along the entire value chain. The previous trade fair exceeded & witnessed with a turnout of around 1550 participants from 35 countries.
South Africa imported USD 5.7 billion of Food & Beverages in the year 2017 from the world wherein India exported around USD 229.6 million, capturing 4% of South Africa’s F&B market. Looking at the demand from South Africa for the products like Rice, Wheat, Palm oil and many more, this show provides an idle opportunity for Indian exporters to explore the South African market.
