The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), signed on 24 July 2025 and effective from 15 July 2026, is expected to boost India’s food and beverage exports to the UK through improved tariff access and market opportunities. Key F&B categories include cereals, coffee, tea, spices, Indian ethnic foods, bakery and confectionery, ready-to-eat foods, health foods, fruit and vegetable preparations, edible fruits, nuts and vegetables. These categories account for a significant share of India’s F&B export basket to the UK and are expected to benefit from improved market access, subject to product-specific tariffs, rules of origin and UK food safety regulations.
