TPCI successfully concludes inaugural Indusfood Ahmedabad 2026

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) successfully organised the inaugural edition of Indusfood Ahmedabad 2026 from July 24–26, 2026, at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The three-day B2B exhibition marked the first regional edition of Indusfood and represented a significant step towards extending the platform’s reach to food manufacturers, MSMEs and grassroots-level exporters across Western India.

Conceived as a strategic sourcing and business development platform, Indusfood Ahmedabad brought together stakeholders from the food processing, agriculture, retail, exports, packaging and food technology sectors. The exhibition enabled regional producers to connect directly with prominent retail chains, distributors, institutional buyers, procurement professionals and other industry decision-makers, while reducing the logistical barriers associated with participating in large exhibitions outside the region.

The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of Mr Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI; Mr Rahul Kumar, Chair, TPCI National Committee on Dairy and Chief Operating Officer, Parag Milk Foods; Mr Ashish Aggarwal, Chair, TPCI Western Region Committee on Snacks and Managing Director, Sunshine Food Products; and Mr Aditya Jain, Group Head – IDF & Codex, National Dairy Development Board. Exhibitors, buyers and other representatives of the food industry also participated in the inaugural proceedings.

Indusfood Ahmedabad showcased products across more than 15 categories, including dairy products, spices, pulses and grains, consumer foods, gourmet foods, edible oils and oilseeds, tea and coffee, sweets and confectionery, organic and health foods, vegan products, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and seafood, dry fruits and nuts, and processed food solutions.

A major highlight was the launch of the Food Processing & Packaging Technology Pavilion. The pavilion created an integrated platform for food manufacturers, processors and technology providers to explore advanced machinery, automation systems, smart factory solutions, innovative packaging technologies, cold-chain infrastructure, traceability systems, quality-testing solutions and emerging AI-led applications. Live demonstrations and direct technical interactions helped participating businesses evaluate technologies capable of improving productivity, quality, compliance and scale.

The exhibition was complemented by two major knowledge platforms. The Indian Food Manufacturing Summit featured dedicated discussions on “Beyond Milk: Creating Value across India’s Dairy Chain” and “Beyond Snacks: Driving Innovation & Value Addition in Snack Processing and Ready-to-Eat Snack Foods.” The FoodTekPack 2026 Conference focused on the evolving intersection of food manufacturing, processing technology and packaging innovation.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, TPCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry to cooperate in promoting trade and investment. The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation also showcased premium food, agriculture and horticulture products from the Union Territory, supporting greater market access for its regional producers.

The inaugural edition established a strong foundation for Indusfood’s regional expansion:

  • More than 300 exhibiting companies participated in the B2B exhibition.
  • Over 40 supermarket and retail chains were represented.
  • Products and solutions were showcased across more than 15 categories.
  • The event was designed to engage approximately 15,000 trade visitors over three days.
  • Two major conferences and multiple sector-focused knowledge sessions were conducted.
  • A dedicated processing and packaging technology pavilion was launched.
  • A trade and investment cooperation agreement was signed with SGCCI.

These indicators demonstrated the scale and industry relevance achieved by the first regional edition. By bringing sourcing opportunities, technology solutions, knowledge exchange and institutional partnerships together, Indusfood Ahmedabad strengthened Western India’s position within India’s rapidly expanding food manufacturing and export ecosystem. The event also advanced TPCI’s objective of taking international trade platforms closer to regional enterprises and enabling more Indian businesses to participate confidently in domestic and global value chains.
