The India-Saudi Arabia Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) 2024, organized by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) with support from the Consulate General of India, Jeddah, marks a pivotal platform for Indian exporters seeking to expand their footprint in Saudi Arabia. Held on September 10, 2024, in Jeddah, the event was inaugurated by HE Shri Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India, and Shri Mohammad Al Safh, Director of International Relations, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. This event brought together 15 Indian exporters and over 50 Saudi importers, showcasing India’s growing economic engagement with Saudi Arabia.
The BSM provided Indian exporters with the unique opportunity to connect directly with key players in the Saudi market. It served as a critical forum for understanding the latest market trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements, allowing exporters to tailor their offerings more effectively.
The event’s impact extends beyond immediate business deals, fostering long-term trade relationships between the two nations and opening doors for future collaborations in the F&B sector.
Moreover, the meet underscored the strategic importance of Saudi Arabia as a gateway for Indian products into the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. With Saudi Arabia being one of India’s largest trading partners in the Middle East, the BSM helped cement bilateral ties and promoted the diversification of India’s F&B export portfolio.
