Market Potential

India stands out in the global market when it comes to chemicals and ceramic industries. The country is the 12th largest exporter of chemicals and 5th largest exporter of ceramic products.

The European market offers vast opportunities in the chemical sector, accounting for 39% of global imports of chemical and petrochemical products. The import demand of these products in the European market has grown at a CAGR of 3% during 2016-20.

Similarly, for ceramic products, the European market accounts for 39.7% of global demand, importing US$ 18.3 billion worth of ceramic products during 2020.

India currently caters to 20.3% of the import demand for ceramic products in European market, whereas for chemical and petroleum products, it accounts for 1.7% of Europe’s total imports. This show intends to foster deeper relationships between Indian exporters of chemical and ceramic products and European buyers.
